Pros

  • Reviewers praise the Everun cushioning and still call the ride fast, one surprised that a shoe weighing the same as his trainers feels like an uptempo shoe.
  • Comfort and appearance each draw 4.5 out of 5, and one reviewer reports fewer black toenails than in any recent shoe.
  • Reviewers name the price as a reason to buy, one comparing it favorably with Boost shoes costing more.

Cons

  • Fit reports vary, with one reviewer finding the toe box tighter than on the ISO 2 and wanting more arch support.
  • One reviewer finds it too soft for steady or moderate paces and has relegated it to easy and recovery miles.
  • The Triumph ISO and ISO 2 before it score 90 and 86 against its 66.

Overall

I run on a lot of pavement, and it sometimes leaves me feeling beat up. I'm a big fan of the Rides, and I've tested previous versions of the Triumph with positive feelings. But the 3 ISOs are a little too much squish for me. I've relegated them to very easy or recovery miles only, because trying to run any kind of steady or moderate pace in them takes me to that recurring nightmare where I'm trying to run from something but find I can hardly move my legs. That squish steals my momentum. It's good to have a recovery shoe, but I think the Ride strikes a better balance for me regarding a regular trainer.

Feels super fast

5/5

Overall

Before this I've always worn Asics and Brooks neutral trainers. I decided to try Saucony and Everrun and was surprised how fast these shoes feel. I weighed them on a scale and they weigh the same as my other daily trainers, but they feel like uptempo workout shoes or racing shoes and I keep running my easy runs too fast.

Overall

Great cushioning at a really light weight. Never had a shoe that's so well-cushioned, but that also feels fast. My only concern is the durability. I've noticed some wear on the soles relatively early in the life of the shoe, but I have no concern about the cushioning staying intact going forward.
