Overall

Have been running in Brooks since high school and up until my senior year of college. Great shoe, but the model 5 wears down and tears on the outside of the pinky toe (it happened to two pairs in a row). I am a neutral runner, but I initially land on the outside of my foot more like someone who supinates. I run pretty high mileage (70-90) during XC season so I need something durable and preferably with extra support in the forefoot since I always land on the ball of my foot.

Purchased as a shoe with a bit more support after returning from injury. Comfortable for easy and long running, but a bit heavy for faster work.

I have had achilles and soleus problems for about 6 years, during college I was about to run 80-100 mils per week, but now I keep getting injured have maxed out at 20 miles per week the last year. This shoe felt great but I continued to have achilles and soleus problems
