Saved my running

5/5

Overall

After running in ASICS for nearly 20 years I was disappointed with the 2000 series and the changes made to their line at that time. I struggled to find a shoe that I loved. Bounced around to NB, Brooks and even earlier Mizuno's, but there is something about the rider 22 and the knits that are stellar. I'm back training for a marathon after 5 years of wondering if I'd even be able to run more than 10 miles a week.

Mizuno WR

5/5

Overall

I've been using the Wave Rider since the 17 for long runs and my race day shoe. Very roomy toe box and great cushioning. Very comfortable and responsive. A little heavier than I'd like; excellent durability: I had a pair of WR lasting for 3 marathon cycles and well over 1k miles. It used to be available on sale more often; nowadays you have to pay retail price most times but the durability makes it worth it

Overall

MIzuno makes good training shoes with solid cushion and fit. Stable shoes for running trails and wear reasonably well. I don't tend to race in them as they aren't typically the lightest on the market
