Late September I was having alot of Achillies issues. I did alittle research on the Zoom Fly and Vaporfly. They were made for running that like to run fast but not overload the Achillies. I ordered my first pair of Zoom Flys late September and my first run in them was October 3rd. These are by far the best trainers I have ever worn. Very fast shoes and super cool looking. They are very durable as well with my first black pair currently having 235 miles on them and still going very strong. I now have three pair of Zoom Flys that I rotate each week. I'm actually looking to order another pair just because I know they are great. These for training and Vaporfly for racing make a super combo. Love love love these shoes......FYI I haven't had any Achillies issues since wearing these.

Zoom Fly, a "specific" shoe.

Overall

Have been running in the Zoom Fly since November, and overall I love them with some asterisks. I am a midfoot striker, so off the bat they were ideal for my foot strike. The forefoot is--for me--a bit firmer than I expected, prob due to the plate. I find the shoe definitely affects my overall form, I tend to run more upright and my stride/arm carriage seems to be more forward/backward with less lateral wasted motion. Also, the rocker sole makes the landing/toe-off much snappier than in other shoes. As far as terrain goes, I find these best on flat roads or roads without severe hills....they feel a bit awkward on downhills, and work the lower legs harder on steeper uphills (perhaps a matter of getting in more miles to adapt to that.) Also, when running on any road with a severe crowning (middle of the road is higher, with a slant downward to the curb) I really feel the slanting more than in other shoes--I'm guessing the plate causes this somehow. Overall, it's just a very *different* shoe, mostly in good ways.

I use this shoe for road races and tempo/threshold workouts. They work as well if not better than advertised. I have run PR's from the 5k to the 10 mile in them

I got this shoes ran in it twice and returned it, I don’t know the durribility because I only ran 2 times in it so I gave it a 5. The shoes is extremely stiff very narrow. Definitely not worth the money. It looks cool though.
