Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 3 for ultra distance trail running

Chicken556 · Feb 13, 2018

4/5

Overall

These are my second pair. They replaced my Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 2 because of outsole wear. Overall very happy with the shoe, it has worked well. What I like most is the softness, compared with other trail shoes. Positives: Price ($110), cushioning, grippy, weight (9 oz US9), low drop (4mm). Negatives: Wear on outsile (good for only 400 miles), outsole breaks (medial rubber breaks off), discontinued.

Kiger 3 for ultra trail running

Chicken556 · Feb 9, 2018

3/5

Overall

This is my second pair of Nike Zoom Terra Kiger shoes. They are good value, pricing well under the top of the range Salomons. Why I rate them low on durability is because within the first 100km, the medial outer sole hard rubber tore off. This happend to my previous pair, and a friends pair aswell. Otherwise they are very comfortable, with a big toebox, good grip. I will buy these shoes again, and just return on warranty after the rubber falls off.

Stiffer sole is less comfortable

Muddy girl · Feb 7, 2018

Overall

The last two versions of the Terra Kiger had a much stiffer sole that the original. I prefer the more nimble, flexible sole of the original, although this version was better than the 2.

great shoe

Overall

Trail shoe that feels light and fast. Tread is great and easily works over technical terrain. Is slippery on wet pavement, but not meant for that sort of terrain. Great for fast running on trails.
