Freedom ISO 2

5/5

Overall

The full everun midsole is incredible for anything from long runs to faster tempo workouts. It is soft and cushiony at slower paces, yet responsive and bouncy at faster paces. The rubber outsole makes the shoe very durable. The upper material is similar to flyknit/primeknit and is super comfortable, but the heel counter still doesn't provide much stability. I've experienced a lot of plantar fasciitis in other shoes (@nike), but have had no trouble in these. Great shoes for daily training.

Solid Every Pace Shoe

4/5

Overall

I wear-tested this shoe for Saucony and therefore am using the MSRP of $160.00 to determine value. This shoe runs a 1/2 size small with a tight toe box. That being said, the upper material is extremely comfortable! The shoe is fairly lightweight yet still very cushioned. It is a fairly solid overall shoe since it is light (about 9 oz) and cushioned with a low profile. This means it works for most runners during most workouts. Overall a great shoe that is very durable for a lightweight trainer, stylish when not running, and provides enough protection for going long. Negatives of the shoe are that it lacks forefoot rigidity if you want more of a pop for faster stuff and while it is a neutral shoe it lacks support that you may want for longer stuff. It seems like Saucony is trying to make a hybrid of a Kinvara and Ride but with a "boost-like" midsole.

Light, simple and easy

4/5

Overall

Saucony hit the nail on the head with a light weight training shoe. Not much to it, perfect for the small frame runner. Really enjyoed the fore foot cushioning and the heel held up very nicely. The style and color makes you want to load your closet with pair after pair. If you try and run high mileage, 70+, I would use these just for tempo, progressive runs. I do not feel as if the durability is as great when the mileage increases. Despite this, a very responssive shoe.
