Out of date upper. Best minimalist cushioning

Anonymous runner · Jun 30, 2023

4/5

Overall

I like minimalist shoes for avoiding wear on my feet. These are the best of all the known minimalist shoes. I think the upper latest edition is a little better. Saucony does great with the lower and sometimes uses ugly / excessive uppers. I’d like a sock, light weight upper.

Otherwise as solid as traditional shoes

Comfortable, not great

Anonymous runner · Dec 28, 2019

Overall

Feels fairly light for everyday running. I don’t feel much of a benefit during speed work, but feel strong through long runs.

Saucony Freedom ISO 2 Review

Anonymous runner · Aug 13, 2019

5/5

Overall

I really enjoyed this shoe. I can honestly say the only downside is the price point and some may also dislike the wider toe box. The ride on this shoe is heavenly and very responsive yet soft. I crushed several long runs in these and my feet felt great after. They're also aesthetically pleasing which is always an upside! Highly recommend if you're in search for a moderately cushioned, responsive shoe!

Saucony Freedom ISO 2

Jayhawk · Aug 9, 2019

5/5

Overall

The Saucony Freedom ISO 2 delivers in so many ways. It is a rare combination of lightweight, cushioned, responsiveness that I haven't enjoyed since Nike quit making the Skylon. It is the closest thing to a slipper that I have ever run in. Given that I am no long a speedy, 150 pound 30 years old, the Freedom offers the best of everything for an older, heavier, runner who loves the fact that he can both train and race in the same shoe without feeling the need to ever run and race in flats again.
