Overall

The Saucony Freedom ISO is a great shoe to run in. The shoe does not wear out until considerable use and I have put over a thousand miles in them and they are still going well.

Overall, positive experience so far in the shoe. Good bounce, very comfortable to wear. I'm a little used to a more significant drop but once I became adjusted I really like the shoe.

Responsive, but Lost Cushioning Early

4/5

Overall

Loved the feel of the full Everun midsole for the first 150 miles on my first pair, but the ride got noticeably more firm and less cushioned after that. My original intention was to use them for long runs and long tempos, but the Kinvara 9 has proved to be a superior shoe for those types of runs. I retired my first pair of Freedoms at 380 miles after using them for shorter tempos and longer intervals; not the mileage I was hoping for after shelling out $145. I'm phasing out a second pair which I'm replacing with Nike Zoom Elite 9s. The Freedoms are a bit bottom heavy and the upper is not supportive. The fit was great for me (sized up to a 10 from my typical 9.5), but there is almost no structure in the heal and it felt unstable when cornering on faster paced runs. Would probably by again if Saucony can manage to add more structure to the upper and not add weight.

Good Durable Trainer

4/5

Overall

I like to run in lighter shoes and the past couple years, the Kinvara was my training shoe for all types of runs. However, with them being a bit lighter than and not much tread on the sole, I went through them extremely quick and buying new ones added up. So tried the Freedom ISO which is a bit heavier but with an actual sole with tread. So far they have held up great and still feel light and have enough cushioning I can wear them for any distance. I have worn them for faster workouts and they are fairly responsive but probably wouldn't wear them on race day. These shoes at regular price are a bit on the high side but I got them for 60% off so well within my budget!

Saucony Freedom ISO Review

4/5

Overall

I love this shoe. Put in a little over 700 miles before buying a second pair which I'm using right now. It's bouncy and responsive and is fairly light. It can not only be used as an everyday trainer, but can also be used for workouts and races. I know people that have run marathons in this shoe. Since the newest version just came out the shoes is fairly heavily discounted. The upper is very breathable but does get a hole after about 500 miles. Most miles I've ever gotten out of a shoe. EVERUN technology is very efficient. It's rigid but also bouncy and feels good from mile 1 to mile 600+. Overall highly recommend this shoe.
