Overall

Overall, I really enjoy these shoes for running and hiking in the mountains as well as ultra training. They have amazing grip, are super nimble, and at the discounted price you can find them at now that the ISO's came out they are a steal. The most grippy show I’ve worn in 8 years

Overall

I’ve worn this shoe in races from trail 5k to trail 50k races and I love it. I’ve also worn it on a 4 hour Narragansett Travesr and an 8 hour Presidential traverse and it has performed amazingly. I call it the kinvara of the trails because I’d its feel. I’ve spent minimal time on the roads with it, but it also holds up well there. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a solid trail show that is going to last 500+ miles.

Overall

I got these shoes as a tester for Runners World shoe reviews. While they are marketed as "trail shoes", I was not able to use them for trails due to the weather and lack of sunlight for my workouts, so the majority of the runs were on roads. I do not recommend them for road running or anything (i.e. jumping, bounding) on hard surfaces - you could feel the impact from the road go from your feet into your shins. I've had a few runs where my ankles and knees were very sore and I needed to take time off to recover. Additional padding/cushion is needed across the sole of the foot. Now perhaps they are better for trail but I was not able to do any running on them.
