Saucony Triumph 21 is pretty good.

4/5

Overall

Great cushion but certainly not a shoe that you feel that you can't run fast in because it is too max-cushion. Nothing different from the 20, so getting the 20 on sale is just an infinitely better deal. Good stuff from Saucony though.

New favorite trainer, worth the $

5/5

Overall

I've been searching for the right trainer for a couple of years and really enjoy the Triumph 21. I'm 300-400 miles into this pair and they are still holding up very well. Supportive underfoot, durable rubber layer, decent traction. Light enough that you can pick it up if you want to, but I don't love it for workouts. I ran in different shoes for most of my workouts and hard long runs in this marathon cycle. Would recommend for a workhorse trainer. It's a bit pricey, but a good dollar per mile over the lifetime of the shoe.
