Perfect Army shoe

I run in all conditions in the pacific northwest. The goretex keeps my feet dry and they have provided solid support for at least a year now.

Die hard ghost fan

5/5

Overall

Everytime I have tried to switch to a different model/brand shoe, I always run into issues...Brooks Ghosts have been my tried and true running shoe for the past 9 years. Never failed me. The comfort level is great, my only reason fo taking away a star is I'd generally prefer a 1 piece upper, so I wouldn't have to stop and tighten my laces a bunch, especially when its hot and humid or rainy and I am drenched and the shoe just loosens a little and tends to wear a bit by the ankle because of this, but nothing drastic. I can still always get my 400 or so miles out of each pair.

First pair of Brooks.

4/5

Overall

Since I've never owned a pair of Brooks running shoes before I can't offer a competitive assessment based on previous versions of the shoe. I can however honestly say that the Ghost 11 has been nothing short of feet heaven thus far. I have only ever been a casual runner, sticking strictly to 5k efforts because anything more almost always resulted in painful after-effects (primarily knee related), no doubt a result of running in the incorrect shoe. I have only been running in the Brooks Ghost 11 shoes for a little over 200km now but almost every run (bar the first couple) has been over 10km, and I've even managed my first ever 22km run, in absolute comfort it must be said. My takeaway from this short ownership experience is that these shoes are light enough that I don't notice them as the runs get longer. They are very comfortable without being spongy (I can maintain a relatively fast pace without feeling like the shoes are robbing me of forward momentum). My aches have become a thing of the past and for whatever reason I can't remember the last time a misstep resulted in a bruised ankle (something I had become accustomed too. No doubt due to my lazy running style). In short; I'm very happy with my new shoes and when the time comes I will doubtless replace them with another pair of Brooks Ghost 11's. . . Because why mess with what works for you.

High comfort for high miles

5/5

Overall

I've run in every Ghost model since the Ghost 7. This pair is the most comfortable to slip on. The knit upper feels great, but doesn't feel quite as reliable going around corners. That doesn't detract much from the experience.

Love them because I have to

3/5

Overall

In my search for a good running shoe, the only shoe option for me was the Brooks Ghost line. I started with Ghost 10s... why? There aren’t many shoes available in a wide width option... online, maybe but not in stores and like with women’s clothing, shoe sizes vary depending on the brand/manufacturer. That’s a story for another day. Back to the Ghosts... they get the job done. The color options were ok but not great. Not sure why all designs aren’t available in wide but it is what it is. I’ll continue to use them and plan on buying Ghost 12s once they are released.
