Excellent, supportive trainers.

These are the third pair of Kayanos I've run in, and they are my favorite trainer I've used in a long time. I am former collegiate runner who is slowly getting back into running. They've held up well - I've put about 350 miles on them - and are decently stylish. My only complaint is that they're on the pricey end. I paid about $160 for the them new.

Best daily training shoe ever?

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

5/5

Overall

Lighted than it’s predecessor (24) and more responsive than its successor (26), the kayano 25 just may be the most comfortable shoe for daily runs ever. If it’s stability you’re after, this is a shoe to try, with it’s specialised arch stability mechanism and high quality, well fitting heel and ankle , which supports the achilles area. Not overly affordable at over £100, but worth the tag in terms of durability- I got well over 400 miles out of my last pair (even if my toe was pointing out a little ?). Good range of colours (if that’s what you’re into). Even if this is t the fastest or the most trendy shoe out there, it is exceptional at doing what it’s meant to- this should be the ‘workhorse’ of your rotation and it will be a shoe that makes you give a little sigh of relief when you lace them up and feel the comfort.

A Wonderful Shoe!

Overall

I run 25-35 miles a week and have gone through many pairs of shoes during my training cycles, but Asics’ Kayano have been the best for me. I have been Kayano loyal for a couple years now, and will for years to come. They fit well, and are wonderful all-around shoes. I have run long runs, tempos, and speed runs all in these shoes, and they have served me well the entire time.

Is Newer Better?

Overall

I was a Saucony user for years, I suffered through all the Kinvara's from hardly any cushion to the latest with lots of cushioning. I heard about Kayano 25 and tried them. I am 77 years old have been running for 50 years. I run a 10k every other day. I like the feel of the shoe, not sure about the cushioning but so far I have not had any problems. It is a comfortable shoe to wear and fits well, with a good amount of room in the toe box. I sweat a lot and the shoe manages the water well, it also dries quickly. I only wear them for running and usually change shoes every 400K. I bought another pair on sale at a great price, only to learn that the new 26 had recently been released. I will eventually get a pair since I have enjoyed them and they work for me.
