Overall

Brooks ghost series have been my shoe of choice for more than a decade. Fit is perfect. I run lake roads, in town, trails and they are very versatile. If you need a neutral shoe it’s my fave. Heel to toe rise is 12 so if you are one of those hippies who likes to feel like you have nothing on it’s probably not for you.

Pound for pound, the Ghost has done everything right. I wear a wide, so that limits the color and design options available but that's okay. This shoe takes care of my foot and the longevity afforded by it is amazing. That is, I know I have a lot more than 400 miles in these shoes like a prior reviewer mentioned. Where I judge a shoe is how my right pinky toe reacts. Most shoes pinch said toe (and I am not knocking those shoes; I'm knocking my own right foot) into blistered numbness but this has never happened in any of the Ghosts I have ever owned. They are a dream and I am loyal to them as a result. I never have to worry about my shoe when wearing them and have never had a problem with lacing or the loosening thereof over the course of a run.

I have had very positive experiences with this shoe and with Brooks overall. The shoe is comfortable while running and I have not had any issues with them before. The only bad thing that happened to them was that the fabric started to rip off the sole to the inside of my big toe on both shoes after about 3-4 months of use.
