Pros

  • Reviewers rate durability highly, one with two pairs still going at 350 to 450 miles.
  • Reviewers use it as a road-to-trail shoe, comfortable on pavement and on non-technical trail.
  • Reviewers report a roomier toe box than the road Pegasus and secure midfoot lockdown.

Cons

  • Reviewers say the low lugs and the lack of a rock plate limit it on steep or rocky terrain.
  • Value is its lowest-rated dimension, at 3.9 out of 5.

A solid trail shoe up to 50k

4/5

Overall

I got this shoe right when it came out. I rotate shoes, so I only use this one for trails every four days or so. Decent cushioning, traction. Holds the foot well. I have narrower feet, so the shoe is roomy and the length is accurate. I need the higher heel-toe drop that so many other trail shoes don't have, so I'm liking this one. Next week I will do 30 or so at the Tahoe Rim Trail in them and I think that is about as far as they will go for cushioning. I am not wild about the color, but once they get dirty who really cares!?

Hybrid Heaven

4/5

Overall

Perfect shoe for running to the trail-head and continuing onward. Probably not a good option for really rocky terrain, but handles grass, dirt and park conditions beautifully. Comfortable on the road . Sheds mud quite well. Feels good at fast and slow paces. Fits very well/true to size. Feels light on the foot.
