The old pegasus was a bit slower and more cushioned, but the newer pegasus is great too. The fastest general training shoe I have ever worn

The Nike Pegasus 39 seems to be back to being a reliable, durable training shoe. Its comfortable and doesn't wear down as quickly as past models. The addition of the front air pad makes a big difference in the comfort and balance of the shoe. The sole seems to last longer. Used to feel the bottom just before 300 miles. Now in the 310's and still no discomfort or soreness.

Is a good shoe for tempo/Easy long runs. Better cushion than Adidas Adizero Boston 10, but slower than these shoes. Faster than Cometo 13
