Variants of this shoe
Some shoes have multiple versions of what is essentially the same shoe, with variations in style or materials. We try to group these together. Retailers sometimes list a version number wrong, and our system can treat those mislabeled names as variants.
How it ranks
The Nike Pegasus 41 trails most daily trainers in our data. Looks and durability are its strongest sub-ratings. Comfort scores well below its other sub-ratings. 83% of reviewers would buy it again, below the average for daily trainers. The rating rests on 66 runner reviews and 22 other rated shoes in the Pegasus product line.
Confidence
How settled the rating is against every other rated shoe. A shoe can rate high on confidence with relatively few reviews of its own when its product line has a long record and external ratings from retailer sites agree. Confidence will score low when we have few ratings or when runners disagree.

I am a mild heel striker. I bought these shoes because they didn't have a rocker and I wanted to strengthen my feet to ward off plantar fasciitis. They've done a good job at that.
They aren't cushioned or responsive, they're just basic. They're a very early 2000s running shoe.
But at just 60 miles, the rubber in the heel is starting to wear through to the midsole. The lugs on the heel were complete worn away after just a couple runs. The upper is nice. The Air bags are protective if not supportive. And the shoe fits well. The irony of all this, the midsole seems like it'd last forever!
I bought it for $83 so the value is great.
