Overall

I really like the new Pegasus. The 34 was rock hard and the upper was very stiff. Probably my least favorite Pegasus ever. The 35 has fixed all of that. The cushion with the full zoom air is much better. The curved shape feels good too.

Great out of the box, doesn't last long

Overall

Probably the best shoe I've run in "out of the box." Fast, cushioned, responsive. Looks fast, feels fast. The new heel construction takes some getting used to, if you don't lace the shoes correctly, they slip. The big downside for me was durability. I'm a forefoot striker and a supinator, and the outsoles at the front of the shoes started to come apart between 150-200 miles. I've been milking all the life I can out of them, but as an everyday trainer, tough to recommend a shoe I can't even wear for a month. But how comfortable are they? I bought another pair anyway.

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Review (Summer 2018)

Overall

At first glance, this new iteration of the longstanding Nike Pegasus line seems to have taken a sharp turn away from its most recent predecessors. While the last four models maintained a general consistency in appearance, this year's version is inspired by the rising popularity of long tongues and curved heel counters found in more casual shoes like the Adidas Ultra Boost. While this may seem like Nike is deviating from the running core that this shoe has been marketed to for such a long time, it is actually simply a step in modernization of the line. It works on both runs and on nights out, a versatility that is difficult to find in true running shoes across all major brands. The looks, while the most obvious, are not the only update. The new upper makes the shoe fit a bit more snug than before which improves the overall comfort while both walking and running. Inspired by the mid-sole construction systems of the Zoom Fly and Vaporfly 4% , the Pegasus 34 has redesigned the Air Zoom Units to resemble the plates inside these successful race flats. Instead of having two separate Zoom Units in the heel and forefoot, Nike has opted to create one single Zoom Unit the runs across the entire mid-sole in the shape of a plate. This decision noticeably improves the transition of the shoe during runs, giving it smoother and more natural ride. This is probably the best part of the new version, as it gives the shoe a more responsive feel while making better use of the Zoom technology. The out-sole exhibits minor updates in the shape of the grooves that don't seem to change much at all. It seems just as durable and provides identical traction to previous models. Lastly, the only negative aspect of the shoe would probably the decision to curve the heel counter outwards since it gives the illusion that one's heels might be less secure. In my personal experience, it did fee a little awkward at first but I quickly became accustomed to it and had no issues with heel slippage. The long tongue can go over shorter cut socks, but again, its something that one becomes accustomed to and forgets about with more use. Overall, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 is an excellent update that refreshes the line without sacrificing much of its heritage. Its everything you liked about recent Pegasus models but lighter, smoother, and faster.

Is this the Best everyday running trainer to exist?

Overall

I have ran since high school, but only over the last few years I have focused on how much of a difference the right training shoes can make during a training block, the Pegasus 35 is a substantial upgrade with the Zoom fly soles and a more narrow sleek fitting it allows the shoe to feel like its ready to go as soon as its on your feet. I personally found myself going down a size which gave what I felt was better control in the shoe, compared with the Pegasus 34 I felt it did not roll easily and felt exceedingly firm when running large miles on concrete / roads. With the Pegasus 35 you feel it adding a slight lean to your posture which in turns allows this shoe to open up easily and roll along the road beautifully. Like all Nike Pegasus however I did find it needed 6-10 miles before finding that perfect sweet spot with them, and the addition of Zoom fly soles makes them much more approachable compared with other versions which could feel very firm. A great everyday, all round shoe!

Not the same old Pegasus

Overall

I have onlt gone for a couple of runs in these. Was surprised how different they were from recent generations of Pegasus. But so far, so good. Like the thicker cushioning and the more flexible upper. Still a little too narrow in the toe box, just like the 33s and 34s. I'm ok as long as my socks are thin, but I might need to go to the wide version at some point as I did for the 33s and 34s.
