Nike Swiss Army Knife?!

4/5

Overall

Everyone's talking about the Pegasus turbo and the 35/36, but what about the Vomero? Regarded as a recovery shoe, everyone glances over it. Don't. This shoe has awesome value, super responsive and cushioned, used it for training at 5 min/mile pace, gets sorta mushy but manageable if you tie the laces tight, similar to the peg 35. 15 mile long runs are a breeze in these, no foot aching at all. It loses some of its responsiveness in the rain, and on warm days is a little too mushy for my liking, but overall, this shoe can do it all.

Vomero 14: A solid trainer with some cushion

4/5

Overall

The Vomero 14 positions itself within Nike's lineup as a moderately cushioned neutral trainer. For this purpose, I can safely reccomended it to most runners. Pros: - React foam provides a responsive and comfortable ride - Mesh upper breathes well and is held nicely together by flywire Cons: - Zoom pod in forefoot is uncomfortable to walk (but not run) on for about the first 100 miles of this shoe's life - Rubber in heel is on the thinner side, wearing away at ~350 miles Running Performance: As expected from a cushioned shoe, you're not gonna be setting PRs in these. They can be brought up to about 5 min/mile but you'll probably want racing shoes if you want to go fast. For long runs, this shoe remains pleasant for most any length you can throw at it

Good but nothing great

4/5

Overall

The zoom vomero 14 is a regular nike shoe that has a bit of a heel to toe drop for a regualar shoe, but not too much to be a huge concer. However, the show isn't super cushioned and feels a little more minimal than I would have liked. I come from a hoka background so that is somewhat expected and most likely will not cause any problems for regular nike shoe wearers. One feature that is very nice is the heel pad. It flares out as to not cause any inflamation and does a great job of keeping the foot secure in the shoe while also allowing good movement and limited rubbing.

Top Distance Trainer on the Market

5/5

Overall

My first pair of Vomero 14s is coming to the end. According to Strava, I logged 899km (560 miles) in them as of today. The upper is little stretched and worn but rubber still great. Comfort as well. I love the comfort of 14s and how easy they pick up the pace. Anyway, I just bought my 2nd pair for less than $100 and can't wait to continue training in them. One thing I should note is that for all Nike running shoes I wear 12.5, however, Vomero 14s are perfect in 12.

Good shoe - durability questionable

4/5

Overall

The shoe feels very fast - it broke in quickly and feels much lighter than to-be-expected from a max cushioning shoe. The biggest drawback is durability - I have worn away the lugs towards the front of the foot within the first 100 miles of wear. Shoes still work fine, but tentative in wet conditions.
