this shoe has made me think of changing from being a hardcore brooks only guy to maybe I need to start looking at different shoes. The way this shoe has made my runs feel is totally different than anything else.

I’ve grabbed this pair of shoes any time I want to go a bit faster on a training day. Typically not grabbing for marathon pace days but more for tempo, threshold, intervals and of course segment hunting. I’ve taken these for runs over 15 miles and also have done intervals on the track. They’re not super cushy and soft which I like for an uptempo shoe. They feel super stable and my legs do not feel as beat up after workouts (which they did with shoes like the Nike Pegasus).
I got my pair in the Run Shield edition and the upper is perfect for keeping my feet nice and warm in the Midwest winter. The upper is very comfortable and water resistant.

A comfortable long run shoe that can stay quiet at faster paces, too. Not quite as crisp as its predecessor the Speed 2, but more stable in turning and the foam holds up a bit longer. Best suited for the road - although I've forced them to take on plenty of trail miles. On my second pair and still happy.
