My favorite multipurpose shoe

Andres Monroy · Sep 28, 2025

5/5

Overall

I've owned three different pairs of Boston 12's.

The same exact story happened with the three of them:

For the first 70/90 kms (50 miles) they felt very hard, but after that, they became one of the best running shoes I've used in the last 20 years.

Yes, they are harder than your average shoe, but perfect for any kind of workout, tempos, long runs, fartleks and even recovery runs.

The sole is super sturdy and the Continental material truly is anti-slip even i n the slipperest conditions .

the upper is very good looking and also lasts a looong time.

In my experience, Most shoes last for 500/550 kilometers, but in each of my 3 pairs of Boston 12's, I've ran more than 700 kms and they are still going strong.

very happy with them.

Stiff until it wasn’t

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

5/5

Overall

The first few runs I was slightly concerned about the shoes being too stiff but they actually turn out to be perfect once broken in.   The biggest perk is that they start feeling amazing the older they get.   instead of worrying about my Boston’s getting too soft after a couple hundred miles I get to enjoy them without worrying.

Great shoe, with deals to be found online

At first I didn't like the shoe and they were uncomfortable compared to the other Adidas I've owned. After about 2 weeks of running in them though did they start to feel like comfortable and springy.

Great Workout Trainer

Anonymous runner · Sep 28, 2025

5/5

Overall

Perfect for faster efforts. A little bulkier than the previous Boston’s but fits tight and narrow like a flat and feels great for faster intervals or tempo efforts. I use it for anything from 8 min pace easy runs to 5 flat tempos. Works great on road or gravel.
