Overall

A feel good lightweight trainer from adidas. This shoe can fit the need as a secondary trainer that has a relatively low stack and is 8.5oz. It has enough cushion to be used more than a flat and it is extremely durable. These shoes can last hundreds of miles before appearing wore down. The Boston 9s are also inexpensive, retail $120, but with some searching easily found in the $60-$90 range. They are very versatile as they can be used for a training run, start of a workout before breaking out the flats, or a long run tempo. They are narrow compared to other shoes and they are also firm. This is not your soft cloud high cushion shoe but it is great as an additional trainer for when you want to feel good on a run.

Overall

Overall, this shoe is brilliant. Beginning with the first step into the shoe, it's very minimalistic and it doesn't feel as supportive as a standard daily trainer. But once you get moving, it's all forgotten and it's just a good shoe with good comfort. The upper fits perfect to size and is very comfortable as tongue is attached to the sidewalls and is soft which makes it very comfortable. The cushioning is very dependent on the person. Despite the slab of boost foam running through the shoe and lightstrike carefully laid on top and surrounding the boost, it's actually quite firm. It's firm with a brilliant response and somehow it implements a snap forward during fast paces. It's more for long and fast intervals, like a tempo run or something. But you can easily get away with short track reps in these shoes, and get to your goal time. I've been able to consistently pull out 30 second 200's in these shoes and it felt great during it. Because of the boost running through the shoe, it's easily able to do daily training as well. I personally have also used it for that purpose and it felt great. Do keep in mind that it requires you to be almost injury free so I resorted to buying the solarboost 19 so I can avoid those. If you're strong, you can use this as a daily trainer. The durability was disappointing, but I'm 90% sure that it's a bad product from the factory because of the sheer amount of continental rubber that broke down. Continental rubber does not break down easily on my other shoes. In about 3 months, I had to replace these because the outsole was getting too bad. The midsole was also feeling terrible and hurting my feet after runs. It's probably just a bad apple from the factory. I believe it is a bad apple because it only got to 250 miles, when really it should get to around 350 miles. So I'm quite sad that the shoe only lasted 250 miles, I really wanted to continue using it. The appearance is beautiful, all the colors are great looking, especially the signal coral shoes. I personally have the Boston Marathon edition of the shoe and I felt bad running in it due to the beautiful detailing. Overall, this shoe will last 350 miles and will feel great during all those miles.
