Pros

  • Reviewers report 450 miles and more with little visible wear.
  • Reviewers use it for intervals, tempo work and long runs alike.
  • Many find the upper secure, and one reviewer says the toe box is roomier than on the Boston 7, which scores 96 on thirty-four reviews.

  • One reviewer finds it offers little stability and struggles late in a marathon in it.

Durable Speed Shoe

5/5

Overall

The Boston was my first time running in an Adidas shoe, and it was a treat. The upper fits very securely and provided a nice lockdown for any type of speedwork. The outsole is very durable and has shown very little wear after 150 miles. The lightstrike honestly felt like nothing, but the little bit of boost in the forefoot provided much-needed cushioning. The one downside to the shoe is how heavy it is.

My go to

5/5

Overall

I've been running in these for about 8 years now. I have many other models in the mix and Adidas give me the energy return springyness I desire when going for a run. I use them for all types of workouts. My fastest race times were done with these. I even like them better than the fancy new expensive Nike's out there because I dislike feeling like I'm on a platform. I like the more minimal feel to the adidas. They hold up well for me.

Great light trainer

Overall

Great fast trainer with good feel - i like the snug fit - without the shoe being to narrow. I have run both with and without orthotics in the shoes - it works well regardless.

Adidas Boston 8

5/5

Overall

I have run a little over 50 miles in this shoe, and so far I like it better than the Boston 7. The toebox is just slightly wider than the 7. The Boston 7 always felt a little too snug in the toebox when I first put it on and would take a few miles before it felt comfortable. The first time I wore the Boston 8, I forgot that I was wearing a new shoe until after my run. The 8 feels a little softer on the landing, but is still firm. So far the only part I don't like is the appearance of the painted stripes on the side, but that is only minor. I will be using this shoe for my upcoming marathon.
