Perfect for the Marathon

Overall

I use multiple shoes but the Asics Gel-Kayano is perfect for longer distances (long runs, long tempos) and I loved racing a marathon in them.

Broke many PB in it

Overall

At 50 I thought my times cant get any better. On my first run wearing the shoes..I set a new PB for 1k and 1mile. A few days later 5K went tumbling and 10K too as well as my half marathon. I set a few more PB in the following weeks. My recovery period is excellent and didn't feel tired even after a long run. I put the running efficiency on the shoes because I m not training rigourously and I love my running which is so enjoyable. My only comment about the shoes is the light colour of the ankle area..it gets dirty with sweat and dirt. The foam underfoot wore out quickly too.

Was able to handle everything I threw it at. Made it 450 miles.. Slight tear on inner right side of shoe right about where the cloth and sneaker sole meet.. Sick cot combination... Tongue too fat in my opinion but everything else as advertised

Good Stability, Bad Weight

Overall

This shoe provides pretty good stability for me, someone who overpronates a lot naturally. Having to add in orthotics to also protect my flat feet makes this shoe definitely on the heavier side though, so it hasn't been ideal for anything faster than easy pace. Would buy again, but I'm still searching for something both stable and lighter (Hoka Arahi 3's were close but not quite what I was looking for).
