Overall
Quite a value buy if compare to it's performance. Not as soft NB Supercomp Trainer V1, but the without carbon plate, the bouncy and responsive of Superblast is comparable.

Running in this shoe is fun. It is comfortable, good cushion while having good spring. I have run easy miles, long runs and tempo runs. It is pricey, so far good durability. Will splurge on this shoe again.

Ive found the superbast to be a unique shoe. I think it does extremely well at all paces. I have found that I prefer the shoe for faster paces so I've mostly relegated it to long runs where I pick up the speed throughout the run. The foam of the shoe is the highlight for me. The ffturbo and thin layer of ffblast + is a very good level of softness for me. The shoe is definitely extremely cushioned and soft, but I don't feel like I'm losing myself when the foam compresses and it gives me a nice springback. This is especially nice when the pace picks up. I also very much enjoyed the 8mm drop of the shoe as that is my sweet spot. Even being a mid/forefoot striker, I find shoes with drops 6mm or lower to make my calves extremely sore and tight. The only complaint I have about the shoe is the fit. I find it to be ever so slightly narrow in the mid foot, while the toebox height to be quite large. I also think the shoe runs a little large, but going a half size down was too much. I also wish the heel gave me a better lockdown but thats a very minor issue that doesn't bother me too bad. I think if basics could dial in the sizing, and overall width and volume of the shoe, it would be a shoe with very little competition.

Quite simply the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever run in - I previously enjoyed the Nike Invincible 1 but was disappointed by the 2nd and 3rd iterations. I haven’t touched a pair of Asics shoes in years and am seriously impressed by how they’ve changed. I wear this shoe all my long and recovery runs but have also found them responsive enough to cruise through tempos without feeling weighed down and bulky. Would absolutely recommend to any marathoner. My only complaints are the high price point and durability - the foam is mostly unprotected and wears somewhat quickly.
