Variants of this shoe
Some shoes have multiple versions of what is essentially the same shoe, with variations in style or materials. We try to group these together. Retailers sometimes list a version number wrong, and our system can treat those mislabeled names as variants.
How it ranks
The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 39 ranks below most daily trainers in our data. Looks and value are its strongest sub-ratings. Comfort scores well below its other sub-ratings. Most runners who came to it from another shoe preferred it. The rating rests on 134 runner reviews and 22 other rated shoes in the Pegasus product line.
Confidence
How settled the rating is against every other rated shoe. A shoe can rate high on confidence with relatively few reviews of its own when its product line has a long record and external ratings from retailer sites agree. Confidence will score low when we have few ratings or when runners disagree.

I’ve been wearing Pegasus for over 10 years now and the 39 was the best one in a while. The Pegasus is comfortable, supportive and cushioned, but still feels relatively light and is nice looking.

Shoe that can be used for any variety of easy running and still feels comfortable picking up to some faster distances paces, good durability I often take up to 500-550 miles, often on sale.

20 mpw training for a half marathon
4/5
Overall
I've ran extensively in most of the models between 32-39. For purposes of relevance in my opinion the 34 was a pretty good all around trainer and several models since have been mostly duds or at best expensive walking shoes. I did like the 37 as a durable milage eater. The 39 is lighter and faster than the 37 making it a better all purpose trainer. I will not get the 500 miles out of the 39 which I did on the 37. The 39's upper at 200 miles is still 100% intact and the outsole rubber shoes almost no wear but the midsole foam is beginning to bottom out which is disappointing. I would buy the 39 again at the right price.
