Nothing but the Pegasus

5/5

Overall

Twice I have tried my best to choose another shoe besides the Nike Pegasus. I've gone to a running shoe store, tried on numerous shoes and every time I end up choosing the Pegasus. I'm weigh about 190, and after a few years of running other shoes just don't feel right. I have tried to use something else besides the Pegasus, but when I'm honest with myself, it is always the Pegasus that feels best. Even when they change the Pegasus from 29 to 33, It still works better for me than other shoes. The shoes have cushion, but less than older versions of the Pegasus. I think they are durable as well, I can get 600 miles from a pair and they still look fairly new after a wash. I don't even like the Nike brand. I've tried Saucony Rides, Brooks Ghosts, Hokas, even the Nike Vomero. The Pegasus always fits my feet better.

Good all-around training shoe

4/5

Overall

I moved to this shoe from the Brooks Launch 2 because I was hoping to find a better shoe for my mid-foot striking gate and the Zoom air bag seemed to provide better durability in that area. The forefoot has perhaps held up slightly better than the all-foam L2, but I ran into some injury problems when I switched too quickly. I found the Pegasus 33 to be very comfortable and good for my mid-foot strike, but because I ran too far too soon on these shoes I got some tendonitis in my left knee. I also developed some plantar fasciitis in both of my feet, although I'm not sure if that is because the shoes are a bit more flexible than the L2 or simply because of overuse on my part. It is also softer than the L2. I have found the Pegasus 33 to be very comfortable overall, though, if a bit heavy and thus not well suited to faster training.

Awesome daily trainer

5/5

Overall

I use this shoe for most of my long easy mileage during marathon training. The air zoom unit at the front helps with cushioning at the front and helps during the latter stages of my Sunday long run. I can easily use these for running 4:50-5:00min/km pace and it's good for faster paces but the shoe is a bit heavy for sub 4:30min/km paces.

Very good shoe

5/5

Overall

This shoe is comfortable and attractive. I have worn it for 750 miles and it is slightly worn down but still performing well. It is great for a neutral runner who has a slight tendency towards overpronation.
