What runners say

“Grip is incredible on both dry and wet asphalt, and wear is practically unnoticeable after ~200 km.”
5/5 Full review 30 mpw training for a half marathon came from the Saucony Kinvara 7
“The wedge of heavier boost foam towards the back drags the shoe's center of gravity downward, which is much more noticeable at faster paces.”
5/5 Full review 70 mpw training for 5K and 10K came from the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36
“They're perfectly cushioned for my taste, meaning neither mushy nor harsh.”
5/5 Full review 30 mpw training for a half marathon came from the Saucony Kinvara 7

“It's a light shoe that punches far above its weight.”
5/5 Full review 30 mpw training for a half marathon came from the Saucony Kinvara 7

Pros

  • Reviewers commonly get 500 to 1,000 miles before the outsole wears out.
  • Reviewers describe a firm, responsive ride and use it for tempos, races and easy days.
  • Averaging 8.2 oz across the men's and women's builds, it is lighter than the 8.9 oz median for daily trainers on sale.

Cons

  • Many reviewers find the cushioning too thin for high daily mileage.
  • Reviewers often describe the fit as narrow and snug.
  • Two reviewers say heavier runners get less from it, one at 190 lb seeing the midsole break down by 300 miles.

Overall

A great shoe that does everything, all weather, all terrain, all speeds and lasts ages. Subtle improvement on the boost 5, much improved upper and slightly softer flex probably due to the revised continental outsole geometry. Nice balance of boost for performance and protection although an extra mm or two in the forefoot to create a lower drop may make this shoe even better/versatile!

Adidas Boston Boost 6

5/5

Overall

The Boston Boost is a great all around shoe. I use it for easy runs as well as tempos and would even race a marathon in them. They made some minor improvements from the Boston 5, better securing the tongue to the shoe so that it doesn't move as much, and updating the material for the upper. Still has the same feel and performance.
