5/5 Full review 30 mpw training for a half marathon came from the Saucony Kinvara 7
“The wedge of heavier boost foam towards the back drags the shoe's center of gravity downward, which is much more noticeable at faster paces.”

“They're perfectly cushioned for my taste, meaning neither mushy nor harsh.”

Pros

  • Reviewers commonly get 500 to 1,000 miles before the outsole wears out.
  • Reviewers describe a firm, responsive ride and use it for tempos, races and easy days.
  • Averaging 8.2 oz across the men's and women's builds, it is lighter than the 8.9 oz median for daily trainers on sale.

Cons

  • Many reviewers find the cushioning too thin for high daily mileage.
  • Reviewers often describe the fit as narrow and snug.
  • Two reviewers say heavier runners get less from it, one at 190 lb seeing the midsole break down by 300 miles.

Overall

These shoes just feel fast. From the first time I tried them on the ride felt amazing. I wish they were slightly lower than the 8mm drop but they make for solid trainers that are protective even at 8.6 oz. Some people might want to use them for race shoes. imo they are competent for that but I prefer lighter and lower drop race shoes. I mostly use them for recovery days, long runs, and some tempos just to give my Achilles a break from the 4mm drop they are used to. Overall excellent shoe.

Great lightweight shoe

5/5

Overall

I really enjoy using this shoe. While it's a lighter shoe, and probably best for workout days/races as a result, it doubles extremely well as an everyday training shoe due to its cushion that it retains despite being lightweight. I try to save these shoes for my tempo runs, but even when I take them on 10+ mile runs they are extremely comfortable and I don't feel beat up afterwards. This was my first Adidas shoe that I've ever ran in and the boost seems to deserve its reputation.

Probably my favorite shoes ever

5/5

Overall

More than any other shoes I've run in, I sometimes forget I'm wearing these shoes. They are very comfortable, just the right amount of flexible, just the right amount of cushioning. They hold up well for long runs, easy runs, and workouts. They feel snappy and light, and they are very durable. I am currently alternating between two pairs of these shoes- one with 350 miles and one with 20 miles- and honestly, they feel about the same. The only negative, is that I find it easy to tie them too tightly, which can sometimes cause pain on the top of my foot (this is never an issue if I make sure to tie them appropriately). They are also quite narrow, which I like, but may be a drawback for some.

Very soft and springy, a bit too much drop, but the upper fits better than the Boston 5.
