Overall

I used to run a lot more, but like the puny hobby jogger that I am, I've picked up cycling for the last couple months. My previous shoe was the Adidas Energy Boost ESM, which I had been pretty happy with and enjoyed the versatility, although the weight was definitely noticeable. When I decided to buy a new pair, I figured something a little less expensive, even if it wasn't as durable would be good. I still run once or twice a week, but its usually faster stuff anyways, so I figured a lighter, more aggressive shoe would fit the bill pretty well. I've been happy enough in the shoe, and while I certainly feel the decent cushioning underfoot, it's not the super resilient full Boost material that I came to be spoiled with the Energy Boosts. Really if somebody was looking for one pair of shoes to train in, I wouldn't recommend these. The supernova glide boost is much more durable with about the same feeling underfoot, although a bit heavier. If you want to spend the money for the energy boost, I doubt that you will regret it.

This shoe is great for those with narrow feet who just want a neutral shoe. It's not very substantial and runs about half a size small. Very responsive and comfortable.

this is my third pair of them. they seem to last forever and are super light and fit great. i love using these for anything from long tempos to faster intervals, to shakeout runs where i want to feel that extra pop and feel fast. these are my feel good shoes. it's incredible how light they are and how many miles i can get on them

Excellent shoe all around. Boost midsole is very responsive and the shoe has enough firmness and rigidity to make faster paces easy. The upper is an improvement on previous models of the boston, though I think it could still be improved with mesh/yarn treatments to avoid bunching in spots. The shoe is also incredibly durable - I started wearing these in February 2015 and they still have some life in them - typically trainers die quicker than this for me.
