Pros

  • Reviewers report 450 miles and more with little visible wear.
  • Reviewers use it for intervals, tempo work and long runs alike.
  • Many find the upper secure, and one reviewer says the toe box is roomier than on the Boston 7, which scores 96 on thirty-four reviews.

Cons

  • Cushioning is the weakest dimension at 4.1 out of 5, and two reviewers keep it to faster workouts.
  • One reviewer finds it offers little stability and struggles late in a marathon in it.

Versatile lightweight training shoe

4/5

Overall

I really like this shoe and purchased it after a great experience running with the Adizero Boston 7s. It feels light, so is great for speedwork, but also it has just enough cushion for long runs--and I'm generally considered a big guy for a runner. Still, I wish it had just a tad more cushioning. In any event, I'll wear this shoe for any type of run.

Good overall trainer

This has been a great shoe. It is responsive but still has cushioning. It still looks new after 100 miles. Good for any type of run including fast tempos and cruise intervals. Also nice recovery run shoes.

Adidas Boston 8- A great fast twitchy shoe

5/5

Overall

I love the Boston Series. They seem to improve on every shoe update. They are a very fast shoe. They come with a caveat....they don't have much cushion because they are meant to go fast all the time. They are really light and responsive. the only downside is that it can not be your primary running shoe for all runs. Use these for workouts only and alternate to a more comfortable shoe for all other runs. These shoes aren't for everyone....but they are really amazing for what they are made for.

You can count on Boston

4/5

Overall

8 is better than 7, but not as good as 6. I like the look of this upgraded model, but I was a little disappointed that right from the box the shoes didn't feel perfect. Model 6 felt perfect. For me, Boston 8 is "upgraded upper model 7" — contact with the ground feels the same as 7s. After 5 runs (2 times easy 10-milers and 3 times road workout) the shoes feel great. I bought them for $80 and like the other two models, I've no doubt they will last me +600 miles.
