Pros

  • The Continental rubber outsole holds up well past 500 miles for many.
  • Runners use it for tempos, track sessions and marathons alike.
  • Light at 8.8 oz with a snappy, responsive Boost ride.

Cons

  • Several reviewers find it lean on cushioning, and pick softer shoes for recovery days.
  • Three reviewers find the forefoot narrow, and one advises going half a size up.
  • One reviewer says it soaks up water like a sponge, and another finds the outsole less grippy on ice and wet.

Boston 7

5/5

Overall

Use this as a tempo shoe, 3:20 per Km pace, and also use for longer reps on trail or grass. Have used for some off day runs and it feels great in all scenarios. Cushioning is similar to Pegasus, but it is much more responsive. Additionally, it is extremely durable due to the continental rubber used for the sole. No complaints

I've worn Adidas before but I can confidently say these are the best Adidas trainers I've ever run in. They may even be the best trainers I've ever run in. I've worn Hoka, Nike, Mizuno, Asics and Adidas and these top the rest.

Adidas does it again by sticking with what works

5/5

Overall

I love how adidas has made very little in the way of changes to this model basically for as long as I have been wearing it. The formula works. I think the best shoe comparison is the old Nike Zoom Elite (though it may compare against the Pegasus Turbo, I have not had a chance to try that yet and the pricing is significantly different). No better option on the market in my opinion if you want a lightweight daily trainer that can function for speedwork in a pinch and hold up for any long run or marathon if you don't want to wear a flat. As a lightweight efficient runner (5'8", 130), I wear these for day-to-day training except when my legs are really beat up from mileage/workouts and I need to wear something a little more pillow-esque.
